The publication

Olá Viseu is an independent digital publication and local guide to Viseu municipality. It publishes information of public interest and practical itineraries for the garden city and its 25 parishes, for residents, newcomers and visitors.

Our editorial focus

We focus on real city life: historic heritage and museums, Beira cuisine and Dão wine, urban mobility (the MUV bus network), sport and nature routes, traditional shops and the city's cultural and sporting calendar.

How we work

Our articles are written by people who live in Viseu and explore the city on foot. Opening hours and addresses are cross-checked against official sources and Google Maps data; ratings labelled as Google Maps belong to that platform; parish boundaries follow the Official Administrative Map of Portugal (CAOP), published by DGT.

Independence and ethics

We have no official affiliation with or dependence on the municipality or political parties. Sponsored content and paid placements are always labelled as such. Read our Editorial Policy.
